Bob Burrelli began working with horses at the age of 12 and learned primarily from the “school of hard knocks.” For the next 15 years, he taught all phases of English riding, from Equitation to Classical Dressage. Bob is an excellent teacher/clinician and can communicate on a level you can understand. You will learn how to build trust and enhance your ability to control the horse both on the ground and in the saddle. Bob will evaluate your skills and that of your horse to help you achieve the kind of partnership you always wanted.
Early on in his career, Bob took the opportunity to train with a true cowboy from Fort Worth, Texas. For eight years Bob studied the training methods of his mentor and together they trained innumerable horses of all kinds. From colts to seniors, Bob taught them all to be trusting, obedient, and free from bad habits. Through his work in the West, Bob learned about the importance of building real trust between horse and rider. Favoring the teaching styles of Ray Hunt, and Bill and Tom Dorrance, Bob continues to surround himself with knowledgeable horsemen. With over 40 years experience, and now an expert himself, Bob still frequents ranches out west to further his knowledge. In fact, Bob believes strongly that learning is a journey that never ends. His commitment to horses and horse people is evident in his work and his character. In addition to Bob’s expertise as a trainer, he is also a regular contributor to New England Horsetalk Newspaper and other equine magazines. TV and radio have featured Bob and his training. He is also a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG). Bob has ridden horses in several movies, including extensive riding with Daniel Day Lewis during the filming of The Crucible. Bob acted as a marshal riding horses. He is also frequently called to do stunts. Bob Burrelli, Trainer/Clinician, is dedicated to excellence in Natural Horsemanship in the traditions of the Vaquero.
